Why does logic pro keep crashing

Sun Jun 21, am MacOS is an account based OS so you have at least two accounts: the root account and your user account. This makes sense only when you start having multiple user accounts, where each user has access to their user data while every user can access the root data.

Sun Jun 21, am Thanks, yep removing the Kontakt 5 component and my sessions open up just fine. Weird thing is, some sessions open fine with Kontakt, and some sessions just constantly crash, or won't open at all.

Edit: A workaround for those struggling with Kontakt 5 specifically, but may also work for other plugins. Remove the Component as described previously, then load the problematic session, and create a blank region using the pencil tool at bar 1 on every track that uses the problematic plugin. Save as and close. Put the component back in place and open session. Sun Jun 21, am I have the exact same problem.

Tracks I was opening and closing two days ago will not open at all today. Do I need a new computer with more storage or does Logic want us to stop using 3rd party plugins? Sun Jun 21, pm Have you thought about going back to El Capitan after installing the basic pack with content for free here. I guess the plugin only works with OS X Nevertheless, how do I get this vital. It seems to be a heavy bug, as a lot of other customers with other DAWs also have troubles like this. Please help! Thanks for your reply. Good to know. I just removed the software from my system and checked the Library folder, which contains the vital.

I also made a system check and it depends on the vital. Still having this issue, that Logic Pro X crashes and cannot be opened no more, but before definitely could! It happens after about one second, if it starts playing at all. I have about GB available on my hard drive, and all was fine until I updated Logic, which happened after Catalina arrived two days ago.

What a mess. Even quitting and re-loading does not help. But it takes forever. I'm professional, and trying to mix an album, this is ridiculous, my old Atari was faster than this. Too right! It was just the "finishing touches", I thought what harm could it possibly do? And it isn't the first time. Every couple of years, or each time Apple change the architecture, away we go again. I never learn. I bit the bullet and ordered a MacBook pro 16in 6 core 32 gig machine smh.
